To find our purpose in life, we need to first disconnect from modern society, seeking stillness and going on an inward journey following our innate talents and most importantly facing our suppressed traumas.
My main lesson from living in the city is that pain is an excellent teacher and a necessary part of life. The quicker we accept this, learn from it and move on, the easier life becomes.
When we feel like we carry an immense burden all alone and there is no way out, we can let go completely to make room for divine assistance to stream into our lives.
Upon a soft winter night’s walk under the stars, I realized that I don’t have to “overcome” my traumas. Instead, I can ask Jesus for help and let it all go.
Just when I thought I mastered a challenge, the universe punched me in the face again, as if I shall be broken down and reassembled entirely.
I felt so overwhelmed with all of my old, unhandled issues coming back up. I almost could not bear it. But this time I decided to face them with courage and determination.
